傅柯說：「那裡有區分，那裡有權力！」台灣助人專業中的兩大領域：諮商心理與社會工作近年來的證照建制化過程，不只是帶給實務界極大的變化，並且也影響著其它領域（婚姻家庭、藝術治療）蠢蠢欲動地朝證照建制化發展，而更重要的是促使專業領域中學術集團的勢力高漲，透過學位、證照與評鑑不斷地增生「知識權力」，而漸漸地完全掌握了實務工作者的生產工具。
